New in the Website
Lawyer Yoram Sheftel won the first battle of this article without even knowing that it was being written. While calling US Secretary of State John Kerry “Enemy of the Jews” in an interview with Settler Channel 7 published on November 15, 2013, Sheftel used a Hebrew term from the Book of Esther that is not easily translated into English. “Shrewd!” I said. There was nothing else to expect from such a prominent lawyer. Few English speakers would care for being called “tzorer.” | Attorney Yoram Sheftel |
I was worried about including a lengthy explanation of the Hebrew term since every word would cost me readers.* Refusing to surrender to Sheftel’s first successful strike, I opened the English King James Bible translation, and in pure delight read: “Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews”—Esther 9:10.
Sheftel chose a boomerang as his weapon and missed the target. Is he in time to wear a helmet?
Haman Who?
Attorney Yoram Sheftel during the Demjanjuk Trial | According to the Book of Esther, Haman, royal vizier to King Ahasuerus, planned to kill the Jews.** Following an intricate string of events, his plans were thwarted by Mordecai and Queen Esther. Afterwards, the Jews killed not only their would-be executioners, but also their wives, children and relatives. Altogether, 800 were killed in Susa—the capital city—alone, and 75,000 in the rest of the empire. The following day was declared feast, the genocidal Purim we still can see being celebrated today. There is no way of justifying these killings. This is not self-defence, but violence in the name of violence; brutal vengeance for something that did not happen. One of my readers told me once that it is as if Germany celebrated the Holocaust. |
In the book, Haman is called “Enemy of the Jews,” since then the term has been attributed to everybody perceived as an enemy. The most popular recipient of the insult is Adolf Hitler. Today, Sheftel used it against Kerry.
Sheftel Who?
Yoram Sheftel is one of the best known Israeli lawyers. Beyond the two famous cases he was involved in, he is notorious for his insulting comments, especially towards politicians and journalists from the Israeli left. He is surrounded by libel lawsuits in both directions; in 2012,he won one against Natan Zehavi, a no-less dirty-mouthed journalist from the left. Zehavi had called him “Adolf.” Another way he has to draw media attention is to place ridiculous charges. In October 1982, he complained against a theater playing The Patriot, a play that had been censored in Israel, and against several Members of the Knesset who were seeing it during an evening of dissent. A satirical-cabaret written by controversial Hanoch Levin, it criticized the Lebanon War. One of its most famous lines mocks Hebrew media headlines, “The Prime Minister visited the Tzfat Military Cemetery. He told the dead to wait patiently. They agreed unanimously.” |
Many pages could be filled with similar stories, but everything pales when compared to two of the trials he was involved in.
An American-Jew, Meyer Lansky was a close associate of Charles “Lucky” Luciano. The latter is considered the father of modern organized crime in the United States and was a key figure in the creation of the American National Crime Syndicate. When Lansky got in troubles with the American tax authorities, he tried to emigrate to Israel in the early 1970s.
Under the Law of Return, he had right to automatic citizenship after landing in Israel. Before Israel declared independence, Lansky had smuggled weapons to the Jewish militias. He had good reasons to believe he would be welcomed.
However, displaying the archetypal Zionist behavior, Lansky was denied citizenship. He reached the Supreme Court, which supported the government. In his first high-profile case, Sheftel approached the Supreme Court in a bagatz+ and achieved the impossible. Lansky was awarded 30 days per year of vacations in Israel.
Later, Sheftel represented Yigal Amir in the trial of PM Rabin’s assassination but lost that one.
Even this lawsuit pales when compared to Sheftel’s peak, he defended John Demjanjuk and won. In the 1980s, an Israeli court identified him as “Ivan the Terrible,” a sadistic guard at Treblinka and sentenced him to death. In 1993, his conviction was overturned after new evidence showed that another Ukrainian—Ivan Marchenko—was probably the one responsible.
Unable to accept the truth, Israel kept illegally persecuting the man. In the same year, the American Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Demjanjuk was a victim of fraud by the court, as United States federal government trial lawyers with the Office of Special Investigations had recklessly failed to disclose evidence. It changed nothing, the man was persecuted to death, see the shocking details of Western illegitimacy at Western Psikhushka Killed Demjanjuk.
Yoram Sheftel, star attorney, accuser of leftists and defender of prime minister’s assassins and falsely accused Nazis. Now, he went one step further, having sentenced a man to death without a proper trial.

Oh, That Kerry…
U.S. Secretary of State Kerry stopped being popular in Israel. At first, his Jewish ancestry was well seen, to the extent that Mossad made efforts to identify him as a collaborator (Kerry Teases Iran). It backfired; Kerry’s instrumentality in the cooling down of the Syrian and Iranian crisis and his attempts to achieve an agreement between Israel and Palestine transformed him into persona non grata. “Kerry go home,” declared a politician close to Netanyahu after having said “Kerry Crossed a Red Line”.
Sheftel is also close to Netanyahu, he even lives in the same Imperial Neighborhood, Caesarea. Thus, his speaking against Kerry was not surprising; his words were shocking. Due to the sensitivity of the material I kept the Hebrew undertext as said, without expanding in the English fashion. I believe the threats are clear.
“Also back then, when Israel was only a few days old, the international community sent here the Tzorer [enemy of the Jews] Bernadotte in order to destroy the State of Israel. He was terminated by the Lehi, in a blessed step. I earned the privilege to live 200m from one of the terminators, the legendary Joshua Zettler. “John Kerry is Bernadotte’s heir. Also he wants to send us back yo the Auschwitz borders of 1967, paving the way to the destruction of the State of Israel. In order to achieve that, he is determined to reach an agreement with the Iranians… he is cheating Netanyhau… he has the insolence to say that Netanyahu is unaware of the details.” |
He called to massive protests of settlers before “the next visit of this tzorer.”
Sheftel, this boomerang is going to hurt!
So the Honorable Sheftel compared John Kerry to Folke Bernadotte and to Haman form the Book of Esther. Both were violently killed by Jews.
Bernadotte negotiated the release of about 31,000 prisoners from German concentration camps during World War II, including 450 Danish Jews from Theresienstadt released on April 14, 1945. Yet, in 1948, he was killed in Israel by the Zionists. Haman killed nobody, despite having declared his intentions to do so. In answer, in a demonic festival of blood, the Jews killed not only their would-be executioners, but also their wives, children and relatives. 75,000 people died. This mass murder is yearly celebrated; “Purim” is the festival’s name. Mr. Sheftel, what is worse, being Haman or one of the assassins? Mr. Sheftel, as a successful attorney, don’t you realize that you just issued a public murder request, in a style you probably learned from Lansky? |
Will you establish the Jewish Thanksgiving Day afterwards?

Special Notice – Persecuted by Israel, Maimed by Bolivia
Under the leadership of Mr. Evo Morales, recipient of the 2006 Al-Gaddafi International Prize for Human Rights, I have been declared a Political Prisoner of Bolivia. My situation is acute, Western Human Rights organizations care not about those speaking against Israel, they do not care about those suffering under the violent hands of one of the main suppliers of “special sugar” to the West. |
I apologize for this obviously incomplete email, the reason for my withholding much of what is relevant will become obvious. |
* “Tzorer” doesn’t have neither a direct translation nor simple transliteration into English.
“Tz” is the agreed transliteration for the letter “Tzadik.” it sounds like a “ts” pronounced together, with no syllable break between the “t” and the “s.” To avoid making this error, the inexistent couple “tz” (in English) was chosen, so that foreigners are not tempted to make a pause between the two letters. Pronounce tzoh-rer, with the last syllable emphasized.
I won’t discuss Hebrew roots here, except for saying that their are use for deriving verbs and nouns in a much well-defined fashion than Indo-European languages. The noun “tzorer” is defined from “tzar,” which means “narrow.” The root is strengthened by the doubling of its last letter, thus “tzorer” is “somebody that makes the path narrow in the extreme,” in other words an oppressor.
** The Book of Esther is in Ktuvim (“Writings”), the third section of the Tanakh, the Old Testament. It is set in the third year of Ahasuerus, King of Persia; due to Hebrew peculiarities, it becomes Ahashverosh (“h” as “ch” in “loch”) in that language. The name Ahasuerus is also equivalent to Xerxes, this one is Xerxes I (486-465 BC). The book tells the story of a Jewish girl called Esther, who became queen of Persia and thwarted a plan to commit genocide against her people. The Book of Esther, also called the Megillah (“scroll” in Hebrew), is the basis for the Jewish celebration of Purim. Its full text is read aloud twice during the celebration, in the evening and again the following morning.
This book is highly questionable. It doesn’t mention God even once; that’s odd for what is supposed to be religious literature. Then, it is the only book of the Old Testament that did not show up in the Dead Sea Manuscripts, hinting that it was a late, rabbinical, addition to the Old Testament. Some of the acts described there are so hideous that many Christians refrain from reading it in Church.
If analyzing its content, one can’t but wonder about the similitude of this book with the literature produced by the 2nd century BC Maccabean Revolt (see Empire Celebrates Hanukkah). This revolt succeeded; the Temple in Jerusalem was liberated and rededicated. The festival of Hanukkah was then instituted. Hanukkah symbolizes the transition from being oppressed people in the empire, into people organized as a smallish kingdom just next to it. Thus, Hanukkah has the military and nationalistic dimensions that Passover lacks. Hannukah is the Jewish Imperial Feast. Purim, the festival derived from the events described in the Book of Esther, is not only imperial in nature but genocidal in its intentions.
According to the Book of Esther, Haman, royal vizier to King Ahasuerus, planned to kill the Jews. Following an intricate string of events, his plans were thwarted by Mordecai and Queen Esther.
There is another testimony of ungodly behavior in the book; its heroine is evil. Abraham Kuyper analyses in Women of the Old Testament that Esther did not agree to take Vashti’s place, that she refrained from saving her nation until her own life was threatened, and that she carried out bloodthirsty vengeance. The last is the Sign of the Beast, not of a godly hero.
Then, there are heavy signs of pagan influences in the book; Esther is derived from Ishtar—also known as Ashtoret—the Fertility Goddess in the ancient Middle East. The Book of Daniel provides accounts of Jews in exile being assigned names relating to Babylonian gods and “Mordecai” is understood to mean servant of Marduk, a Babylonian god. The more you look into this book, the least resemblance it bears to other books in the Bible.
The book has been expanded by rabbis and transformed into a manifest of Jewish ideology. “Agagite” is used in the Book of Esther to describe Haman. This means that he was from the Persian town of Agag. Yet, the Jewish literature explains that he was descendant of King Agag of the Amalekites. For rabbis and their followers, the Amalekites are symbolic of the Judaism antithesis. Moreover, of the 613 mitzvot (commandments) followed by Orthodox Jews, three refer to the Amalek: to remember what the Amalekites did to Jews, not to forget what the Amalekites did to Jews, and to destroy the Amalekites utterly. The rabbis derived these from Deuteronomy 25:17-18, Exodus 17:14 and 1 Sam. 15:3. Rabbis, what about making peace utterly? Do you ever think of that?
Along time, Purim became a celebration of violence. When Haman’s name is read out in the synagogue, which occurs 54 times, the congregation engages in noisemaking to blot out his name. The practice can be traced back to the Tosafists (French and German rabbis of the 13th century). This is in accordance with a passage in the Midrash, where the verse “Thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek” (Deuteronomy 25:19) is explained. Then, a custom developed of writing the name of Haman, the offspring of Amalek, on two smooth stones, and knocking them together until the name was blotted out. Some wrote the name of Haman on the soles of their shoes, and at the mention of the name stamped with their feet as a sign of contempt. This list goes on and on.
In the same way, rabbis upgraded the Bible with the Book of Esther, they upgraded the abovementioned mitzvot with seven rabbinical mitzvot. Two of them are related to today’s topic, namely to light the Hanukkah lights (in other words to celebrate this non-Biblical feast) and to read the Scroll of Esther on Purim (in other words to celebrate this non-Biblical horror). See Amalek Hits Israel.
+ Israel’s Supreme Court of Justice usually operates as the highest appellate court in the country, but it features also a special operational mode as a court of first instance, called in Hebrew bagatz (acronym for High Court for Justice, not to be confounded with the formal name of the court: The High Court). In this instance, everybody under the jurisdiction of the Court can initiate a process against the State of Israel if he feels one of his rights has been legitimately oppressed by the State; this is the result of Israel lacking a Constitution and formal recognition of Human Rights.
