Ben Affleck’s wife, actress Jennifer Garner, wouldn’t be surprised to see the Oscar award-winning director turn to politics in the future.
“Right now, [Ben] feels like he can do more good for people politically from outside the system,” Garner said, according to a People Magazine report out Tuesday.
“Would I be surprised if one day he did go into politics? No. But not now,” Garner said, adding that she supports the idea.
Affleck directed and starred in “Argo,” the Best Picture winner at the 2012 Academy Awards. His name was briefly floated as a possible candidate to replace now-Secretary of State John Kerry in the Senate, but he ultimately decided not to run for the seat.
