French nanny posts partying photos on Facebook while on the run

Updates on her Facebook page include a picture of her drinking at a table littered with spirits and mixers, while in another she is in a bedroom, posing for the camera in a low-cut top.

Essertel can also be seen standing in front of a house in a photo tagged on June 24 with the place name Chabreloche – a commune in the Auvergne region of central France.

In one post on her publicly accessible page, she writes in French: “If someone in your life can make you forget your past, know that this person is your future.” In another, she says: “No man. No love. No problem.”

Her advert for her au-pair services, in which she describes herself as a “lovely girl” who wants to get a job in humanitarian aid, can still be found online.

In one advert on a site which she last logged onto on April 16 this year – almost a month after skipping bail – she says: “It will be eight months since I returned to France to complete my nursing degree and I would [like to] go back to see other countries to learn new cultures and be able to speak English [as soon as] possible.

“I want to assure you [of] my experience with children. During my studies I was able to do internships in various hospitals, primary schools and retirement homes.”

South Wales Police issued an appeal on July 25 for help finding the au-pair, who is due to celebrate her 24th birthday.

A spokesman said: “Police are pursuing all lines of inquiry in South Wales, London and France in order to trace her.”

However, he said Interpol are not involved.

Essertel is described as 5ft 6in and of proportionate build. She has short, straight brown hair and brown eyes.
