The accident, which happened on June 30 in Fraser Valley in British Columbia, was captured by camera mounted on the helmet of the motorcycle rider.
In the video, motorcyclist is seen accelerating, when a passing train scares a young black bear, causing it to run across the motorway directly into his path.
The rider collides with the bear and somersaults off his bike.
Police said his injuries were serious but non-life threatening. The bear walked away unharmed by the collision.
