Josef Ackermann, the chairman of Zurich Insurance, has resigned unexpectedly after the apparent suicide of the company’s Chief Financial Officer Pierre Wauthier earlier this week. The former Deutsche Bank chief executive said Mr. Wauthier’s family appeared to feel that he should take some of the blame.
