VIDEO: "Frozen" Can"t Catch "Fire," But Both Feast Over Holiday

Hollywood could give thanks for its heroines this weekend as the women of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Frozen got the holiday season off to a bristling start. Fire topped the box office with $110.2 million over the five-day Thanksgiving weekend, according to studio estimates from box office trackers Rentrak. The impressive haul in Fire’s second weekend marks the largest debut ever for a film over the Thanksgiving weekend, smashing the record of $82.4 million set by Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in 2001. The $130 million Jennifer Lawrence sequel has collected $296.5 million since its release Nov. 22. The second-week performance also silenced analysts, some of whom suggested that last month’s debut of $158 million was a disappointment.

How To Do Acting Auditions For Teenagers

Create stars are made when they are young and you can find wonderful talents by doing acting auditions for teenagers. If the process is not carried out properly, you have a very frustrating session. This should not be so if you follow some guidelines that can be very useful to the director and the actor.

Put in mind that these teenagers may not have gone through an acting school and may be a little crude in several required areas. Therefore, be gentle with them. Even if somebody does not get a part, encourage them that there is always a next time.

The project at hand should have been clarified and fully understood by each candidate. The project could be a movie for young people or an upcoming show for the school program. It could be a company wanting to hire actors to promote a certain product targeting the youth. Communicate fully the requirements and ensure that they have all the facts required.

Then lay down all the parts that require to be filled. Have a full character description that gives the physical, mental and internal attributes. The student should internalize these qualities by taking time to understand each part and the mission intended. This is important for them because they will have time to sample the roles they can fit in.

Some auditions have some manuscripts that the actresses follow while other allow them to improvise and show case what they are made of. Then it becomes the role of the director to identify the ones that fit the roles. The main idea is to ensure that the artists are convincing and audible enough to play the parts.

Facial expressions and gestures are very important. Note the ones that use them in the right way and how easily they flow with the fellow actors. This is a clear indication of how good they are in the team. A good actress will captivate the audience and make use of the whole allocated stage.

Look out for tone variation and most importantly the reactions. As a rule of thumb acting is all about reacting. If the character only finishes her role and waits until the other complete to speak to get back into the role, then chances are that she can be a problem to train. This happens especially if you do not have time to train on the basics.

The other important factor to consider is the character development. Does the actor follows a certain curve or is stagnant, predictable without life, is a question you need answered during the audition. The importance of this is that it shows that the actress can develop with the tempo and the plots of the story line.

Internalizing the role to be played takes years of studying and experience. However, acting auditions for teenagers can identify the performers that are will to learn or are inborn actors. Have fun because theatre and acting should be enjoyable. Youngster also love to play and like to be creative. You can easily get the best talents that can make great movie stars in a very new future.
