WASHINGTON (Reuters) – More Americans than expected filed new claims for unemployment benefits last week, but still not enough to signal a material shift from the recent pace of moderate job growth.

Initial claims for state unemployment benefits increased 18,000 to a seasonally adjusted 354,000, the Labor Department said on Thursday. Economists had expected first-time applications to rise to 340,000 last week.

The four-week moving average for new claims, which irons out week-to-week volatility, rose 2,500 to 348,250 – holding below the 350,000 mark that economists usually associate with steady job gains.

Despite the increase last week, claims remained in the middle of their range for this year.

“The trend we’ve been seeing is still well intact. Where jobless claims are right now should tell you that the economy is doing okay, that it’s on a decent path,” said Brett Ryan, an economist at Deutsche Bank Securities in New York.

The dollar trimmed gains versus the euro and yen after the data, while yields on U.S. Treasuries fell slightly.

Last week’s data covered the period in which the government surveyed companies for June’s nonfarm payrolls count. Claims increased 10,000 between the May and June survey periods, suggesting little change in the pace of job creation.

Employers added 175,000 new jobs to their payrolls last month, with the unemployment rate ticking up a tenth of a percentage point to 7.6 percent. Job gains have averaged 172,000 per month over the last 12 months.

The Federal Reserve, which has been closely monitoring the labor market, said on Wednesday downside risks to the outlook for the jobs market had diminished since the fall and it painted a fairly upbeat picture of the economy.

Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke said the U.S. central bank expected to slow the pace of its bond purchases later this year and bring them to a halt around the middle of 2014. The Fed is buying $ 85 billion in bonds per month in an effort to keep interest rates low and drive down still-high unemployment.

The claims report showed the number of people still receiving benefits under regular state programs after an initial week of aid fell 40,000 to 2.95 million in the week ended June 8.

A few Unhealthy Foods to Eliminate to Better A Man\"s Stamina

I have a few foods I don"t consume so I"m able to make sure my prostate remains in good health. The secret is to eat natural food only and avoid unnatural food. As an example, are you able to find cheese and cookies in the ocean? Can you find refined sugars and French fries in the wild? These are some of the things that I recommend to avoid so as to better your stamina and the health of your prostate.

Junk Foods

Eliminate foods that contain a lot of salts. If you like potato chips, meat jerky, pretzels, ham, bottle salad dressing, pizzas, hamburgers, hot dogs, packed dinners, for example pasta, canned soups, quit eating them straight away. Excessive salts are bad for your general physical stamina and prostate health. I used to like salted food much and I might add soy sauce to pretty much everything I consumed but I have quite eating them all. Convenience food aren"t natural food.

Hydrogenated and Saturated Fats

Avoid eating animal fats because they aren"t good for your staying power and prostate. If you like cakes, cookies, donuts and Fries, stop immediately. It is OK to consume some fat but select healthy fat such as olive oil, sesame oil, marg. Forget about butter though you can think it is better tasting than margarine. Your wellbeing is so very much more vital.

Fatty Protein

Avoid consumingg fatty meat like pork chops. Not only it will enhance the health of your prostate, you may shed the pounds and reduce your waist size. A smaller waistline is linked with better staying power and better prostate health. If you can become a vegan then go for it. If you cannot, always go for the lean meat like chicken breasts and fish protein.

Drinks to Avoid

Avoid drinking alcohol, sodas, coffee and black teas. Sodas has a lot of sugars. As I have mentioned earlier, not only they can cause you put on weight and cancerous cells love sugars. Moderate your alcohol, coffee and black teas instakes because they"re also bad for your prostate health.

Dairy Products

Men that enjoy dairy goods have increased risk of developing prostate cancer. So if you adore consuming ice cream, cheese and drinking milk, you may wish to decrease the intake of them or just eliminate them all. I don"t consumeany dairy stuff at all and I am in the best health of my life.

Processed Sugars

Most people love refined sugars and so do carcinogenic cells. Avoid white sugars from this point on. Add honey in your coffee rather than sugars and Avoid consuming candy, pastries, white bread and things that contains refined sugars. They don"t seem to be natural for your body. Always read the labels before you buy your foods. If there is refined sugar, put them back on the shelving.

Your health is crucial to you because an improved health can make you more happy. By becoming more knowledgeable knowledge regarding premature ejaculation cures, you may understand how to handle any condition you"ll encounter in days to come. Also , data on prostate problems is very important but the majority of guys do not know that.
