Donald Trump thinks his hairdo is one of the best out there, despite what the “haters” may say.
The business mogul, who has publicly toyed with a presidential run in the past, told The Hill recently that he wouldn’t weigh in on what 2016 contender had the best coif.
“The only hair I know is mine, and it’s the real deal,” he said.
Real estate mogul and conservative political figure Donald Trump called on New Yorkers and Americans to cancel their subscriptions to New York Magazine after its senior editor Dan Amira attacked his wife on Twitter on Friday, saying that she is just waiting for Trump “to die.”
Trump had Tweeted out a New York Post article about how New York Magazine was failing financially and was considering switching to a biweekly publishing schedule. “@NYMag’s sales are so dismal that w/ its record 2013 losses it is going bi-weekly,” Trump tweeted with a link to the Post story before advising the magazine it “Should end pain & just fold.”
“I love watching the dishonest writers @NYMag suffer the magazine’s failure,” Trump added in a follow-up tweet about the liberal magazine’s continued failures.
Trump responded harshly to Amira for his distasteful rhetoric.
“A terrible statement like that shows how desperate you and your magazine are,” Trump wrote via Twitter. “You should be ashamed.”
“No wonder @NYMag is doing so poorly, with an idiot Sr. Editor like @DanAmira, it will only get worse!” Trump added in another tweet.
Trump then called on Americans and New Yorkers to cancel any subscriptions to New York Magazine over Amira’s comments.
“I hope everyone that read @DanAmira’s reprehensible statement will cancel their subscription to @NYMag in protest,” Trump tweeted. “Let me know.”
After Trump called for New York Magazine readers to cancel their subscriptions, Amira then said he wants Trump to live.
“For the record, as a blogger, I want Donald Trump to continue living and lying and pretending he might run for office for a long, long time,” Amira tweeted.
Real estate mogul Donald Trump vowed on Tuesday to turn a towering Washington landmark into one of the world’s top luxury hotels, part of a rejuvenation of the U.S. capital’s downtown.
The entrepreneur and TV personality said “cost is no object” when it came to restoring the 1890s-era Old Post Office Building on Pennsylvania Avenue midway between the White House and the Capitol.
“As far as the building itself, it will be magnificent at the highest level,” Trump told a news conference on his plans for the hotel, flanked by three of his children and District of Columbia officials.
After the $ 200 million project is completed, the hotel will have about 270 guestrooms, averaging more than 600 square feet, the largest in the District of Columbia. Each will have a crystal chandelier.
The Old Post Office Building was built to house the U.S. Post Office Department and the Washington City Post Office. At 307 feet, it is one of the tallest structures in Washington and offers superb views.
Various federal agencies had shared the building since 1934. The General Service Administration, the government’s property arm, has considered it “underused” for years, according to GSA statements.
The GSA selected Trump Hotel Collection to turn the site into a luxury hotel in February 2012. The Trump organization is financing the project.
The property will be known as Trump International Hotel, The Old Post Office Building. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2014, and the hotel plans to open in 2016.
Trump’s plans come as Washington is enjoying an economic upturn, with about 1,000 people a month moving into the District of Columbia, reversing decades of decline.
A few blocks from the new hotel is CityCenter, a 2.5 million-square-foot mixed use development and one of the biggest downtown projects in the United States.
Melissa King being crowned Miss Delaware Teen USA. She resigned her crown Feb. 26, 2013 amid reports she appeared in a porn video.
Donald Trump, the billionaire developer and head of the Miss USA competition, says his organization told the Miss Delaware Teen USA to resign her crown this week amid claims she had performed in a pornographic video.
“We had to tell her to get a letter of resignation very quickly,” Trump told radio host Howard Stern on his Sirius/XM broadcast.
As WND reported Tuesday, Melissa King, the reigning Miss Delaware Teen USA quit her position by submitting a letter of resignation through her attorney.
On Monday, a porn site posted a sex video featuring a young woman who looks and sounds like King, and who claimed to have competed in beauty pageants, but King has reportedly denied the woman in the video is her.
“Absolutely not,” she told the Journal News of Delaware. “It is not.”
“There are comments saying this, however, it’s not comments that are true,” she said of the porn site’s claims.
Video of Howard Stern’s interview’s interview can be seen here:
When Stern asked Trump if King intentionally his the video, Trump said, “We don’t know whether or not she hid it, but it came out. … She got involved, and she actually offered her letter of resignation and we had to accept it.”
“If she hadn’t resigned, what would you have done? Would you have just fired her?” asked Stern.
“Well, we probably would have had to,” said Trump.
When Stern said he was going to watch the video, Trump quipped, “Will you call me and let me know how good it is?”
The video at the center of the controversy runs more than five minutes, and begins with an interview on what appears to be a hotel bed.
A young woman with a striking resemblance to Melissa King, the 2013 Miss Delaware Teen USA, sits on a bed in a pornographic video. King has denied the woman is her, but has resigned her crown.
Though a name is never proffered, the man interviewing her asks when she turned 18, to which she responds, “About three months ago. March.”
The Miss Delaware Teen USA website indicates King’s birthday is in March.
The interviewer, who is not identified, then asks her what made her want to appear in her first adult video.
“I thought it’d be fun and it sounded like I needed the money,” the woman says. “So I just decided to do it.”
Other questions centered on whether or not she has a boyfriend, the last time she had sex and how old she was the first time she had sex.
The Journal News reports another set of questions has the woman being asked about being a “Miss. A Miss Teen?”
Due to some perceived reluctance, the man asking her then says, “I’m not going to say the state or anything. … You did beauty pageants?”
“I’ve done them, yes,” she responds.
The interviewer asks her if she told anyone about doing the video.
“It’s not a big secret. But I didn’t tell anybody specifically what I was doing,” she replies
After the questions, the woman and a man perform several different sex acts.
The CBS-TV affiliate in Philadelphia posted side-by-side photos of the woman who appears in the video and King to display the apparent similarity.
