There are lots of “rightful heir” theories going around, and they all fall down on the fact that there is no such thing as a “rightful heir”.
There was always an element of “election” about early English monarchies. That is, in case of uncertainty, the most suitable candidate for the throne would be chosen from among the royal family by the leading nobility of the land.
That element of “election” went all the way down to King John.
The idea that there was some kind of “right” by strict rules of succession was a later invention.

Elizabeth II is the rightful monarch because Act of Parliament says so (Act of Succession 1701).
That’s the only definition that is worth anything.

I’m from the UK and it’s no secret I don’t like the notion of monarchy. It’s an outdated institution that rewards a very average family. Any other family would be labelled scroungers by most Brits.

Most Brits love the royal family, so I keep my opinions to myself most of the time.

I am in Canada and I thought we divorced her in 1967 and we became a country at least that was the story, but that was not the case. Trudeau didn’t divorce her and Canada is still a colony, if we were a country her damned picture wouldn’t be in every bloody misgoverning institution, the courts, post office, etc. and we wouldn’t have a prime minister (second in command) or a regal viceroy called the groveler general who is actually the head of Canada on behalf of the monarchy.

And yes, the monarchy is an antiquated institution filed with do-nothings and useless eaters. The funny thing is these inbreds hold themselves above everyone else and milk the system, whereas in a rational society they would be shunned and cast out for what they are, noxious parasites with no purpose. You can add the Rothschilds, politicians and international bankers to this lot of wankers as well.

High School Crowns Homecoming Queen and Queen

For the first time, a gay couple at Calabasas High School, a suburb just north of Los Angeles, were decorated as the 2013 Homecoming Queen and Queen. The honor, traditionally granted to a male and female student, demonstrates that societal values are shifting. 

The recipients of the award, Lilly Cohen and Greta Melendez, were surprised and grateful to win.

Melendez, President of the Gay and Straight Alliance Club, emphasized that she and her partner were chosen “because, usually the homecoming king and queen are the most popular in their group of friends — whereas we are friends with all the little groups of people, and they’ve never had a voice. They’ve never had someone to vote for.” 

Greta’s mother was interviewed about her daughter’s unique crowning and she exclaimed that she “is so proud of her daughter she is in shock in the greatest possible way.”

London (CNN) — A man has been arrested after a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II was defaced with paint Thursday at Westminster Abbey in London, police said.

The 41-year-old man is being held at a central London police station on suspicion of causing criminal damage, London’s Metropolitan Police said. The suspect has not been named by police.

The portrait, by the Australian-born artist Ralph Heimans, is being taken down until the damage can be remedied, the abbey said in a statement.

It went on public display last month as part of the abbey’s celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the queen’s coronation.

The 9-foot by 11-foot oil painting depicts the queen in state dress, including the crimson velvet robe she wore for her coronation in 1953, in an imagined scene at night in the abbey.

According to the abbey website, it captures the queen “in a moment of solitary reflection.”

Last week, the queen and other royals attended a service at the abbey to mark 60 years since her coronation there.

There have been 38 coronations at Westminster Abbey since the coronation of William the Conqueror in 1066.

Westminster Abbey is also where Prince William married Catherine Middleton in 2011.

Melissa King being crowned Miss Delaware Teen USA. She resigned her crown Feb. 26, 2013 amid reports she appeared in a porn video.

Donald Trump, the billionaire developer and head of the Miss USA competition, says his organization told the Miss Delaware Teen USA to resign her crown this week amid claims she had performed in a pornographic video.

“We had to tell her to get a letter of resignation very quickly,” Trump told radio host Howard Stern on his Sirius/XM broadcast.

As WND reported Tuesday, Melissa King, the reigning Miss Delaware Teen USA quit her position by submitting a letter of resignation through her attorney.

On Monday, a porn site posted a sex video featuring a young woman who looks and sounds like King, and who claimed to have competed in beauty pageants, but King has reportedly denied the woman in the video is her.

“Absolutely not,” she told the Journal News of Delaware. “It is not.”

“There are comments saying this, however, it’s not comments that are true,” she said of the porn site’s claims.

When Stern asked Trump if King intentionally his the video, Trump said, “We don’t know whether or not she hid it, but it came out. … She got involved, and she actually offered her letter of resignation and we had to accept it.”

“If she hadn’t resigned, what would you have done? Would you have just fired her?” asked Stern.

“Well, we probably would have had to,” said Trump.

When Stern said he was going to watch the video, Trump quipped, “Will you call me and let me know how good it is?”

The video at the center of the controversy runs more than five minutes, and begins with an interview on what appears to be a hotel bed.

A young woman with a striking resemblance to Melissa King, the 2013 Miss Delaware Teen USA, sits on a bed in a pornographic video. King has denied the woman is her, but has resigned her crown.

Though a name is never proffered, the man interviewing her asks when she turned 18, to which she responds, “About three months ago. March.”

The Miss Delaware Teen USA website indicates King’s birthday is in March.

The interviewer, who is not identified, then asks her what made her want to appear in her first adult video.

“I thought it’d be fun and it sounded like I needed the money,” the woman says. “So I just decided to do it.”

Other questions centered on whether or not she has a boyfriend, the last time she had sex and how old she was the first time she had sex.

The Journal News reports another set of questions has the woman being asked about being a “Miss. A Miss Teen?”

Due to some perceived reluctance, the man asking her then says, “I’m not going to say the state or anything. … You did beauty pageants?”

“I’ve done them, yes,” she responds.

The interviewer asks her if she told anyone about doing the video.

“It’s not a big secret. But I didn’t tell anybody specifically what I was doing,” she replies

After the questions, the woman and a man perform several different sex acts.

The CBS-TV affiliate in Philadelphia posted side-by-side photos of the woman who appears in the video and King to display the apparent similarity.
