‘Are You the One Harassing My Little Girl?’: That’s What a Father Asked Right Before Things Spun Out of Control

Dominic Conti Westlake HSTHE BLAZE - The family of a high school senior threatened a lawsuit Wednesday after their son — now ex-class president with a 4.4 GPA — was suspended over an altercation with a football player who allegedly sexually harassed the senior’s then-14-year-old sister, reported KCAL-TV in Los Angeles.

Dominic Conti, 17, was suspended from Westlake High School in Ventura County, Calif., for five days, stripped of his elected office, and banned from all extracurricular activities following the incident with the player at a football game last October 11.

“They way they treated me was someone that has brought, like, a firearm to school,” Conti said at Wednesday’s news conference.

The Conti family says it complained to the school administration about the player but nothing was done.

Houston father pays child support in full but gets six months in jail anyway

  • A Houston-area man expects to turn himself in to the Harris County jail in a few days after receiving a six-month sentence for failing to pay his child support … which appears to be completely paid up.

The story of Clifford Hall began to go viral Friday after Houston’s Fox affiliate, Fox 26 reported the man’s plight.

Hall claims that his child support payments had been modified in court without his knowledge, and that he quickly made up the $ 3000 difference before his court appearance in November. While he’s been an active participant in his 11-year-old son’s life, the court cited him for violating his visitation requirements — another condition he says had been changed earlier without notice.

His ex-wife had been pressing for an additional $ 3000 in attorney’s fees.

The story itself neither names Hall’s ex-wife, nor her attorney. A call to Quanell X, a minister in the New Black Panther Party who has been pressing Hall’s case, hasn’t yet been returned.

Family court Judge Lisa Millard told Fox 26 that she found Hall in contempt after he walked out of the courtroom when she pronounced him in violation, which she says is a big no-no and may have contributed to the sentencing.

Watch a report on Hall’s case below.

Father of slain Tsarnaev associate pens letter to Obama, alleges FBI deliberately killed son

The father of Ibragim Todashev, former friend of alleged Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev, has released an open letter to President Barack Obama calling for justice after his son’s killing. Todashev was killed by FBI agents in May.

Abdulbaki Todashev’s letter includes photos of his son’s bullet-ridden body and his bloodstained Orlando, Florida apartment. Ibragim was shot to death by an FBI agent accompanied by two Massachusetts State Troopers, according to Boston magazine.

Also included is a photo of Ibragim’s knee following a surgery he had in March, which the senior Todashev says is proof that his son posed no harm to the FBI agent who killed him.

In the letter, Abdulbaki Todashev says the FBI deliberately tortured and killed his son and proceeded to intimidate and deport his son’s acquaintances in the ensuing months.

Todashev calls on Obama to keep the FBI from interfering with the current independent investigation into his son’s death.

Todashev’s letter states:

“Did my son know that he had the right to remain silent or did he have rights at all, including the right to live? Being a citizen of another country he might not be aware of the laws as he was only 27 years old and wanted to live so much. No, they left no chances for him inflicting 13 gunshot wounds and multiple hematomas on his body. After what FBI agents have done to him whatever excuses they come up with nobody would believe them because my son is dead and cannot talk for himself. They did it deliberately so that he can never speak and never take part in court hearings. They put pressure on my son’s friends to prevent them from coming to the court and speaking the truth.”

“I rely on you, Mr. President, and hope that the prosecutor’s office and the court do not let the agencies conducting internal investigation on this case prevent the truth from coming to light so that at least some part of our grief, caused by the murder of our son, is relieved, and that the murderers stand trial instead of sit in their desk chairs.”

The investigation is being conducted by Florida state attorney Jeffrey Ashton. The lawyer released a statement earlier this month saying that he had received additional information on the killing from the US Department of Justice. He said he would unveil the report’s findings early next year.

Federal prosecutors have stated that Ibragim allegedly implicated Tamerlan Tsarnaev in a 2011 triple murder in Waltham, Massachusetts. Anonymous FBI sources told reporters that Todashev also implicated himself in those murders. Sources have provided conflicting reports on exactly how Todashev died.

Friends of Ibragim Todashev, a Chechen national, told the Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) that FBI agents asked them to spy on Orlando-area mosques, threatening arrest if they failed to comply.

One friend of Todashev, Ashurmamad Miraliev, was arrested by the FBI on September 18 on a warrant for supposedly threatening a witness in an Osceola County battery case 14 months ago.

Yet following his arrest, he was interrogated for six hours only about associations with Todashev – despite repeatedly requesting his right to an attorney, CAIR-Florida said. The FBI agents allegedly responded, “That is not happening.”

We “didn’t ask him anything about the alleged charges. Just interviewed him for over six hours trying to get as much information on Ibragim Todashev as possible,” Hassan Shibly, director of CAIR-Florida, said at a September press conference in Orlando.

CAIR-Florida requested the US Department of Justice open an investigation into the allegations of civil rights violations and abuse by the FBI of Todashev’s friends.

Shortly after speaking to Boston magazine in September regarding her own dealings with law enforcement since the Orlando slaying, Tatiana Gruzdeva – girlfriend of Ibragim Todashev – was arrested in Florida by immigration officers and told she would be deported for talking to the press.

Gruzdeva told the magazine that in May she was interrogated by agents about any connection she or Todashev had to Tsarnaev and the Boston Marathon bombing. Agents eventually sent her to immigration officials. She was detained until August, at times in solitary confinement, before being told she would be released and had another year to stay in the US legally. Regardless, Gruzdeva said she “had gone to sign work papers at the local immigrations office” where she was then arrested and told she would be deported for allowing the magazine to interview her.

Boston magazine reported that Gruzdeva was deported to Moscow.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev died days after the Boston Marathon bombings, during a shootout with law enforcement in Watertown, Massachusetts.

Tsarnaev’s brother and alleged co-conspirator, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, was also shot during the encounter, but managed to escape in a stolen vehicle he later abandoned. A day later, Dzhokhar was found wounded in a Watertown backyard during a massive manhunt. He pled not guilty to 30 counts against him on July 10 in a Boston federal court.

Dzhokhar is being tried for killing three people and wounding more than 260 others in a double blast at the Boston Marathon in April 2013. His lawyers have been given until February 28 to decide whether they will request that the case be moved outside of Boston. However, the attorneys have asked for that deadline to be extended because Attorney General Eric Holder is not expected to announce whether prosecutors will seek the death penalty until late January.

Bill Beaird wept Friday as he recalled watching live on television as Los Angeles police officers fatally shot his son at the end of a pursuit.

Sometime before the shooting, Beaird said, his son Brian had called to say that police were chasing him. Beaird said he urged his son to pull over. But Brian Beaird kept driving his Corvette at high rates of speed, eventually broadsiding another car Dec. 13 in downtown Los Angeles. The shooting was filmed from TV news helicopters.

The elder Beaird said he watched in shock as his 51-year-old son staggered out of the wrecked Corvette, briefly putting his arms in the air as he walked behind the vehicle to the passenger side, and police opened fire.

Father Reports Truck Stolen by Son to Teach Him a Lesson – Cops Respond by Shooting Him Dead

Tyler Comstock, 19, of Boone, Iowa wanted his father James buy him a pack of cigarettes and his father refused, so he took his father’s truck without permission. James reported his truck stolen by his son from a worksite that he and Tyler had been working on, hoping to teach him a lesson. Now he is planning his son’s funeral as an Ames, Iowa officer responding to the call shot Tyler dead.

“He took off with my truck. I call the police, and they kill him,” James Comstock told The Des Moines Register on Tuesday. “It was over a damn pack of cigarettes. I wouldn’t buy him none.”

“And I lose my son for that,” Comstock added.

Ames Police officer Adam McPherson has been with the Ames Police Department for more than eight years and was the one that responded to call. This was the first time McPherson has drawn and fired his weapon in an incident.

Comstock had apparently driven into the heart of Iowa State University.

According to KCRG.com:

The incident began at 10:17 a.m. Monday when Ames police received a report of a stolen vehicle from a man who said his son had become upset and taken his pickup truck and trailer, according to a news release. McPherson responded, according to (Ames police Cmdr. Geoff) Huff, and located the truck at Grand Avenue and South 4th Street.

McPherson reportedly followed the vehicle initially before activating his emergency lights. But, instead of pulling over, Comstock is accused of speeding up and continuing west to Beach Avenue. Comstock, at one point, is accused of stopping the vehicle and reversing, pushing the trailer into the police car and partially onto its hood, according to police.

Comstock then sped away again, police reported, running a red light and becoming unhitched from the trailer. McPherson continued to follow the truck around Union Drive and eventually north on Morrill Road – against one-way traffic in the bike and pedestrian lanes, according to police.

Witnesses told police that people were jumping out of the way of the truck, which then jumped the curb onto a grassy area north of the university’s Campanile. McPherson unsuccessfully tried to ram the vehicle to get it to stop, police reported.

Apparently Comstock had no concerns for pedestrians who were jumping out of the way of the truck.

Tyler Comstock

Tyler Comstock

The officer, according to police, gave multiple verbal warnings to Tyler to turn off the vehicle, but the 19 year old would not comply. Instead, he revved the engine, though the truck did not move as officers were approaching. Dashcam footage below does not show us whether the truck was or was not moving, but does show the danger that Comstock posed to other people and property prior to being rammed. It certainly was moving seconds after it was rammed just before shots were fired.

McPherson then fired seven rounds into the truck “to stop the ongoing threat to the public and the officers,” according to police.

While Tyler was not armed with a gun, it seems clear from the witnesses and the officer’s account that he was endangering the lives of others with the vehicle, prior to stopping. I admit that I don’t understand why he was shot when the vehicle was stopped and no longer endangering anyone though. I suppose it is possible that he would not have heard verbal commands. However, watch and listen to the dashcam footage below and see if you fail to hear any verbal commands. I certainly didn’t hear any. In fact, just seconds after the police cruiser rams the truck, seven shots can be distinctly heard being fired without any verbal commands being given.

Dash cam footage:

Comstock was taken to Mary Greeley Medical Center and was pronounced dead.

Tyler’s mother went to Facebook writing, “My baby boy is gone after Ames police shot him this morning after a chase! Please take a moment to honor him today, I will never forgive myself for not doing more for him as his mother!”

She went on to write, “Please be patient while the dci investigates and hopefully we will know all the facts soon.”

“Maybe officer didn’t hear dispatcher like perhaps my son didn’t hear their commands over a revving engine,” she later added. “Please tell me this is not real!!!! By the way, did they tell him to turn off the truck or get out of the vehicle? I’ve heard both from them, any witnesses wanna clarify this for me?”

God knows my heart goes out to parents losing their son. However, it seems to me there was a problem as soon as the young man took the truck without permission. Second, his own actions demonstrate that he was not concerned with the safety of others or simply pulling over and dealing with the police officer in a mature manner. The father is obviously rethinking his actions as well.

Officer McPherson was cleared of any wrongdoing in the incident on Thursday, and the investigation has been closed.

While I’m not convinced the officer was right in firing the shots, the reality is that it all could have been avoided had Tyler Comstock not engaged in reckless behavior, endangering himself and others.

This is most definitely a tragedy that a young man lost his life when he could have simply pulled over and dealt with the officer. This is what I was taught to do when I was growing up, and it is what I teach my own kids to do. While I realize there are many bad law enforcement officers, I do not think they represent the majority of those in law enforcement. I was taught to respect their authority, which is an expounding of the principle of the Fifth Commandment.

Here’s edited audio of Ames police dispatch. I add that there is a section in the audio that is disturbing where the officer is told to “back it off” and yet continues in pursuit.

What do you think?

Father of Slain SEAL: Biden Breached National Security

Retired U.S. Army Major Gen. Paul Vallely says the United States government is covering up the true facts of the ambush of an American military chopper in Afghanistan, in 2011.

“This was pretty much a cover-up, a very badly put together tactical operation for a rescue of some Marines who we found out really weren’t in that much danger,” Vallely told “The Steve Malzberg Show” on Newsmax TV.

Story continues below video.

“This whole thing … may have well been an established ambush by the Taliban in response to SEAL Team 6 taking out [Osama] bin Laden three months earlier.”

Vallely, founder of Stand Up America, has teamed up with Billy Vaughn, the father of Aaron Vaughn, a Navy SEAL killed in the chopper crash, to write a new book, “Betrayed: Exposing the High Cost of the War on Terror.”

It details how on Aug. 6, 2011, Taliban forces ambushed the U.S. Army chopper — which carried 30 Americans, 25 of whom were Special Operations — in the Tangi River Valley of Afghanistan.

Vaughn believes the mission that led to their son’s death was not only botched, but that the Navy SEALs had been targeted as they were sent to capture a high-level Taliban leader.

And he blames Vice President Joe Biden for revealing that it had been the SEALs who took out bin Laden, a fact that basically made them sitting ducks for retaliation.

“It’s been said by people a lot more important and higher-ranking in our U.S. government than me that the vice president committed a breach of national security,” Vaughn told Steve Malzberg.

“Never before had the SEALs or any special operators, for that matter, been identified after they had completed a raid. … Our son actually called … and said, ‘Mom, you’ve got to get any information about us off the social media, you’ve got to shut your social media down; there’s chatter; our lives are threatened … ,” Vaughn said.

“This is directly because of Vice President Joe Biden, when an agreement had been made not to give the details.”

The book is available for pre-order at SpecialOpsBetrayed.com.

NSA Leaker Edward Snowden"s Father Speaks Out

LONNIE SNOWDEN: “Every place you read is ‘high school dropout, high school dropout, high school dropout’ … The fact is, is that Ed had an illness at the beginning of his sophomore year when his mother and I were going through a divorce … they believed that it was mono. I believe it was diagnosed as mono, but he missed approximately four or five months of school. So, he was gonna fall behind. And he asked if he could try to test into a program at the local community college … And, you know, there was some disagreement on whether he should do that. The bottom line is he did, and he completed his high school equivalency in advance of when he would have graduated from high school, and then continued taking college courses.”

Father of man FBI shot claims his son was executed

(AP) — The father of a Chechen immigrant killed in Florida while being interrogated by the FBI about his ties to a Boston Marathon bombings suspect said Thursday that the U.S. agents killed his son “execution-style.”

At news conference in Moscow, Abdul-Baki Todashev showed journalists 16 photographs that he said were of his son, Ibragim, in a Florida morgue. He said his son had six gunshot wounds to his torso and one to the back of his head and the pictures were taken by his son’s friend, Khusen Taramov.

It was not immediately possible to authenticate the photographs.

The FBI says 27-year-old mixed martial arts fighter Ibragim Todashev was killed last week during a violent confrontation in his Orlando home while an FBI agent and two Massachusetts state troopers questioned him about his ties to slain Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, as well as about a 2011 triple slaying in Massachusetts.

Three law enforcement officials said initially that Todashev had lunged at the FBI agent with a knife, although two of them later said it was no longer clear what had happened.

Greg Comcowich, a spokesman for the Boston FBI, declined to comment Thursday on the elder Todashev’s claim that his son was unarmed.

Abdul-Baki Todashev said the photos were emailed to him by Taramov, who apparently was at the morgue to identify the body. The father said Taramov was part of the Muslim community holding the body for the family until they could retrieve it.

The father said Taramov told him that U.S. agents interrogated him on the street while five officials interrogated Todashev in his Florida house for eight hours on May 22, the night he was shot. He said his son was “100 percent unarmed.”

Todashev’s father said his son moved to the U.S. in 2008 on a study exchange program and met Tsarnaev at a boxing gym in Boston in 2011, about a year before he moved to Orlando. He said the two were “not particularly close friends.”

Prior to last month’s bombings, Todashev underwent an operation for a sports injury and was on crutches, making it physically impossible for him to have been involved in the bombings, his father said. He added that Todashev had recently received a green card and was planning to return to Chechnya for the summer last Friday, two days after he was killed.

The father said he and his brother were interviewed at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow on Thursday as they sought a visa to take his son’s body back to Chechnya.

FBI agents interrogated the younger Todashev twice before the night he was shot, his father said. Todashev told him that he thought Tsarnaev had been set up to take blame for the bombings.

“I’d only seen and heard things like that in the movies — they shoot somebody and then a shot in the head to make sure,” Todashev said.

“These just aren’t FBI agents, they’re bandits,” he added.
