There is a dog walk, which is like a balance beam, weave poles and jumps which are set up in a certain pattern for the dog and his handler to run. The agility course is a timed event for points against falls and obedience commands.
Even though lab pups and older lab dogs are most energetic, they are prone to weight gain. It is important to feed them the best, high quality dog food from the beginning. It may be more expensive, but a healthy, trim dog is worth it.
Most labs love the water. They will enjoy jumping into a lake or river for a fun swim, sometimes over and over again. If you find your lab pup to be overly excited about jumping into the water, you may look into dock diving as a sport she can do to help harness her energy. Its fun and something you can do with her.
