How To Take Care Of Your Namiki Pen

If you happen to own something as precious as a Namiki pen, you would want to give it some extra loving care. Just as you know, the pen will function better when it is regularly cleaned. Not to mention, it\’ll last longer when properly maintained. So listed here are ways to give it the kind of care it deserves.

Don\’t use alcohol when cleaning your Namiki pen. Also be careful when using cleaning solvents since some of them may contain strong chemicals which can cause damage to your pri ed possession. Make it a point to clean your Namiki pen at least once a month. Allow it to dry complete and then refill it with fresh ink. If you have bottles of ink left in stock but are over a year in your possession already, get rid of them.

Still on the subject of ink, it\’s best to just fill the fountain pen with an amount which is enough to supply your writing needs. Unused ink will just dry up and might also create clogs. The former is a waste of money and the latter is rather tricky to remove. Both will only inconvenience you. In order to prevent the ink from drying up, always return the pen\’s cap every after use. Secure it in place to protect the nib. In terms of keeping the whole pen protected on the other hand, return it to its case when not in use to safeguard it from scratches and other damages.

When writing, don\’t put too much pressure on your hand. It might strain your hand and the excess pressure may cause damage to your pricey writing instrument. How do you know if you\’re exerting too much pressure? Look at the way the ink appears your paper. If there are blots, then you have to loosen your tight grip on the Namiki pen. That will make writing less laborious and keep your nib in good shape.

Your dunhill namiki fountain pen may perhaps be one of the treasures you pride yourself for possessing. Well, you have every reason to be so. It is after all a piece of exceptional craftsmanship that is not just aesthetically pleasing but functional too.
