NSA’s spy gear: ANT is a secret weapon that hacks electronics worldwide

3 hours ago | Technology, US | Posted by Joshua Cook

From Samsung smartphones to Dell computers, Americans are being tracked by the NSA via electronic spy gear. Last week Snowden warned Americans in a Christmas message that big brother is watching. “We have sensors in our pockets that track us everywhere we go,” he said. Now Snowden has leaked the document that proves his claim.

One of the documents Snowden has reportedly leaked is a product catalog for spies and hackers at the NSA.

NSA hacksAccording to SPIEGEL, “a product catalog reveals that an NSA division called ANT (Access Network Technology) has burrowed its way into nearly all the security architecture made by the major players in the industry — including American global market leader Cisco and its Chinese competitor Huawei, but also producers of mass-market goods, such as US computer-maker Dell.”

The article claims that ANT specialists at the NSA’s department for Tailored Access Operations can remotely access, monitor, and manipulate data in electronics around the world. Electronic devices that cannot be attacked via the internet are intercepted and manually bugged. In some cases, the NSA actually intercepts packages to put “backdoors” in electronics.

SPIEGEL explains, “These NSA agents, who specialize in secret back doors, are able to keep an eye on all levels of our digital lives — from computing centers to individual computers, from laptops to mobile phones. For nearly every lock, ANT seems to have a key in its toolbox. And no matter what walls companies erect, the NSA’s specialists seem already to have gotten past them.”

ANT specialists can choose spy gear from a 50-page catalog to assist them in spying operations.

Some of the listed items are:

  • Rigged monitor cable – $ 30 – Allows “TAO personnel to see what is displayed on the targeted monitor.

  • GSM base station – $ 40,000 – Mimics mobile phone tower and allows cell phone monitoring.

  • Computer bugging devices (50 pack) - $ 1 million – Disguised as normal USB plugs, it is capable of sending and receiving data via radio undetected.

SPIEGEL states that these American technology companies are not aware that the NSA has hacked their systems.

“Cisco does not work with any government to modify our equipment, nor to implement any so-called security ‘back doors’ in our products,” the company said in a statement.

Last week, Ben Swann, reported that U.S. District Judge William H. Pauley III ruled it was legal for the NSA to collect bulk meta-data of American’s phone records.

“One could argue that the ruling by a Federal Judge that the NSA spying program is legal was not only a horrible ruling, but based on his personal view and not grounded at all in law,” Swann said.

The lawsuit argues that the phone surveillance program violates both the First Amendment rights of free speech and association, and the Fourth Amendment’s protections against unreasonable searches and seizures. At least three other lawsuits challenging bulk data collection are pending in other federal courts. Attorney Brett Max Kaufman said the ACLU will appeal Friday’s ruling.

The newly leaked documents are striking, though. As the NSA revelations keep on coming, it could provide more evidence for civil liberty lawsuits.

NSA: Not Only Snooping But Infecting Computer Networks Worldwide

Not only does the NSA snoop your personal communications, the agency also excels at infecting computer networks with malicious software.

Recently discovered Snowden information reveals the NSA infected more than 50,000 computer networks worldwide with malware, the Dutch news outlet NRC.nl reports.

Recently discovered Snowden information reveals the NSA infected more than 50,000 computer networks worldwide with malware, the Dutch news outlet NRC.nl reports.

Edward Snowden, the former NSA analyst roundly excoriated by government as a dangerous leaker, has revealed that more than 50,000 computer networks worldwide have been infected.

A management presentation shows how the surveillance agency uses “Computer Network Exploitation” (CNE) in more than 50,000 locations. “CNE is the secret infiltration of computer systems achieved by installing malware, malicious software,” reports the Dutch website, NRC.nl.

The NSA has a special department dedicated to malicious hacking. Tailored Access Operation, or TAO, has more than a thousand hackers hired to go after targeted networks.

In August, the Washington Post reported that TAO had installed an estimated 20,000 “implants” beginning in 2008 and by the middle of last year the number had jumped to 50,000. The implants act as “sleeper cells” that are controlled at will.

“Computer hacks are relatively inexpensive and provide the NSA with opportunities to obtain information that they otherwise would not have access to,” write Floor Boon, Steven Derix and Huib Modderkolk. “The NSA-presentation shows their CNE-operations in countries such as Venezuela and Brazil. The malware installed in these countries can remain active for years without being detected.”

NSA referred inquiries about the revelations to the U.S. government. A government spokesperson said the disclosure of classified information endangers U.S. national security.

New Study: ‘Geoengineering to Cause Drought Worldwide’

Print Friendly

By Shepard Ambellas | November 10, 2013 | 1:43pm EST

A new study finds that geoengineering does exactly the opposite of what it’s supposed to do. Meanwhile, governments continue the cover-up of chemtrail applications worldwide.

(INTELLIHUB) — A recent study published in the Journal of Geophysical Research-Atmospheres[1] points out that global geoengineering applications actually do exactly the opposite of what proponents of geoengineering and scientists claim. Geoengineering activists and others have touched on this as well. However, geoengineering agendas still remain in full swing worldwide despite the public outcry and awakening. In fact, now private companies are even geoengineering our oceans under permits issued by United Nations (U.N.) blanketed programs against the best interests and will of the people.

While none of this should come as a surprise, especially if you have read white papers such as Henry Kissinger’s National Security Study Memorandum 200: Implications of Worldwide Population Growth for U.S. Security and Overseas Interests (NSSM200)[2]. This very document authored by Kissinger in 1974 and released by the National Security Council (N.S.C.), detailed how there would be a need to control population growth in the world and also pointed out that weather and drought would indeed play into the overall plan. The memo even detailed that Africa and the mid-East would likely sustain heavy drought in the future reducing population numbers in third-world regions as a result. Interestingly enough, what we see to this day is an agenda that literally fall lockstep with Kissinger’s plan.

Now, most recently we can see with the publication entitled The hydrological impact of geoengineering in the Geoengineering Model Inter-comparison Project (GeoMIP) information emerging that was previously withheld from the public by government and military agencies at all costs. ”The research found that geoengineering would cause a drop in both the amount and frequency of precipitation worldwide, particularly over some land areas. In the dozen computer models used for the study, monsoonal rains dropped by an average of 7 percent in North America, 6 percent in East Asia and South America and 5 percent in South Africa. Those seasonal rains are vital for sustaining crops in highly populated regions and substantial changes to monsoon seasons could have wide ramifications for food availability and political stability. In addition, the study found that average global precipitation could drop by about 4.5 percent.”, reported Andrew Freeman with ClimateCentral.org.[2] This is exactly the information the governments worldwide have been suppressing for over three decades.

John Fasullo, climate researcher and author of the study explained how “you have to pick your poison”,  because what we are seeing now after careful study, is that geoengineering applications have both their upsides and downsides. Although right now it appears the downsides outweigh the positive effects yielded from such terraforming procedures. “The new study simulated the effects of using solar radiation management in an environment in which the amount of greenhouse gases in the air is four times the level observed at the start of the industrial revolution. That is far higher than today, since the concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2), the main long-lived greenhouse gas, in the atmosphere has not yet doubled from the preindustrial level.

The study found that blocking some incoming solar radiation would alter the temperature profile of the atmosphere by cooling the lower atmosphere. At the same time, increased amounts of greenhouse gases would continue to warm the air at higher altitudes. That would make the atmosphere more stable and reduce the amount of storminess that would occur, said Simone Tilmes, a scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colo.

According to Tilmes, “it’s not possible” for geoengineering to bring the climate back to where it was in preindustrial times, because the climate system will still be responding to the increased amounts of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.”, reported ClimateCentral.org in an amazingly astute piece.[3]

Recently the issue of geoengineering has gained major traction a key documentary films such as SHADE the Motion Picture and What In the World Are They Spraying? have done an excellent job of bringing this suppressed information out to the masses. Both films come highly recommended and can be used as a tool to educate others, bringing them up to speed on these very issues rather quickly.

30 Million People Worldwide Living As Slaves: Report

Source: Economy Watch

An estimated 30 million people worldwide are currently living as slaves, according to the inaugural Global Slavery Index published Thursday, with India said to have the largest number of enslaved people, though African countries still had the highest proportional figure based on population.

The index, compiled by the Walk Free Foundation (WFF), defined modern slavery to comprise of human trafficking, forced labour, and practices such as debt bondage, forced marriage, and the sale or exploitation of children; and found that slaves existed in all of the 162 countries surveyed.

“Today some people are still being born into hereditary slavery, a staggering but harsh reality, particularly in parts of West Africa and South Asia,” the report said, as cited by Reuters.

“Other victims are captured or kidnapped before being sold or kept for exploitation, whether through ‘marriage’, unpaid labour on fishing boats, or as domestic workers. Others are tricked and lured into situations they cannot escape, with false promises of a good job or an education,” the report added.

Rand Paul: ‘There’s a worldwide war on Christianity’

“This isn’t going to be fought with a conventional war, it’s going to require Islam to police Islam,” Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul said to a gathering of conservative voters Friday as he described what he called a “war against Christianity” by Islamic extremists.

There’s a war raging against Christianity, but the attackers must police themselves, says Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (R).

“From Boston to Zanzibar, there’s a worldwide war on Christianity,” the world’s most-practiced religion, he said Friday at the Values Voters Summit, an annual conservative gathering. The intensity of attacks is so high, he later added, that it’s “almost as if we lived in the Middle Ages,” a period that included the Crusades.

Today’s war is perpetrated by “a fanatical element of Islam,” Rand said, adding that most Muslims are not commited to violence against Christians. However, those who are number in the tens of millions, he said. And it falls upon Muslims themselves to take on their violent brothers.

In an effort to monitor the reported outbreaks of infectious diseases worldwide, the DHS office of health affairs plans to contract with a small business to provide a “real-time data feed,” drawn from at least 25,000 online sources, on a 24/7 basis, with its content updated at least hourly.

The data feed, which would be delivered in an email or RSS format, would give the U.S. Government the right to share the information inside the government, as well as outside the government “for U.S. Government purposes,” says a small business set-aside solicitation that was issued by DHS on September 3.

“Through management of the Department’s operational biodefense programs, including the National Biosurveillance Integration Center (NBIC), [the office of health affairs] conducts biosurveillance activities to enable early warning and situational awareness of acute biological events and support better decisions through rapid identification, characterization, localization, and tracking,” explains the solicitation.

The real-time data feed would be based on “publicly available reported information,” would originate in material published in at least five different languages (English, Spanish, French, Russian and Chinese), and be translated into English.

US issues worldwide travel alert

Breaking news

The US state department has said it is issuing a global travel alert because of an unspecified al-Qaeda threat.

In a statement, the department said the potential for an attack is particularly strong in the Middle East and North Africa.

The move comes shortly after the US announced the closure of embassies in the region on Sunday.

The alert expires on 31 August 2013, the department said. It recommended US citizens travelling abroad be vigilant.

“Current information suggests that al-Qa’ida and affiliated organizations continue to plan terrorist attacks both in the region and beyond, and that they may focus efforts to conduct attacks in the period between now and the end of August,” the statement said.
