Attempt is made to arrest the Queen: Notification from the Sheriff’s Office of the Rome branch of The International Common Law Court of Justice (ICLCJ)

3 April, 2014, 6 pm GMT
Internal Communique
Rome and Brussels

Today, two duly appointed sheriffs of our Office attempted to enforce the standing Citizen Arrest Warrant (ICLCJ Court Order No. 02252013-004, Dated 4 March, 2013) against Elizabeth Windsor aka Queen Elizabeth II during her presence in Rome, and bring her into custody as a convicted felon and a fugitive from justice.

Their report is filed with our Office, and reads as follows:

“I, Domingo Santori, accompanied by Carlo Freschi, attempted to apprehend Elizabeth Windsor and place her under arrest as a convicted criminal, in accordance with the Brussels Court Order of March 4, 2013.

“At about 11:50 am today Rome time we approached the reported site of her meeting with President Napolitano at the Presidential Palace in Rome and discovered from a Palace official that the meeting had been moved to an undisclosed location. The lack of any security at the Palace that day seemed to confirm his statement. We then intended to apprehend Windsor later when she met with Pope Francis at the Domus Sanctae Marthae near to the Vatican. .

“Upon reaching the Domus at 1:05 pm, we were met by a sizable security force consisting of members of the National Police but no members of Vatican Security, which was highly unusual. It is our impression that the National Police knew of our intention and were waiting for us.

“We presented the Arrest Warrant to the Captain in charge of the National Police and informed him of our intent to enforce the Court Order and asked for his assistance in this legal procedure. The Captain would not agree to do so and refused to identify himself. He told us we would be placed under arrest if we tried to perform the arrest or “threaten the Pope” in any way. Several policemen then seized our video camera and roughly escorted us from the area. Our camera was not returned to us. We have lodged a formal complaint with the National Police.

“It is clear to us that the Italian government is actively colluding in protecting the convicted criminal Elizabeth Windsor. We recommend that greater force be employed by us in the future and that we rely on better intelligence on the movements of those to be arrested or served. We also ask the Court to issue a formal note of protest to the Italian government for its actions today and that the Court attempt to deputize local police forces to help us.

“On a final note of interest, we were told by one of the policemen at the Domus who assaulted us that ‘You guys are just wasting your time anyway, Il Papa (the Pope) isn’t even in there.’ We are not convinced that the alleged meetings between Elizabeth Windsor and the Pope and the President actually took place in the manner described in the world media. The absence of any Vatican Security at the Domus that day was noticeable and unusual, since it is considered Vatican property.

“We have also noted the cover story being circulated in the world media today that Pope Francis met with Elizabeth Windsor at the Vatican. We know this to be false and that their actual meeting occurred in an undisclosed location after they initially met at the Domus, which is the so-called ‘Pope’s’ private residence.”

I did get in, however, to the site, - http://iclcj.com/?page_id=2 - and from what I see there, this statement is all that would be presented. Other sites are posting a rather mob-rule looking picture of the Queen, and I simply am not going to post it until I"m shown that iclcj is likely to have posted it themselves. We have enough problems on the planet without becoming a mob that goes after people. There are going to be plenty of situations arising like this, and I think it behooves us to keep the lid on this kind of behavior. ~J]

Arizona Governor Office Denies Having Made Decision To Veto Anti-Gay Bill

Jan Brewer

AP

The office of Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R) denied an NBC News report that she is likely to veto a controversial bill that would allow businesses to refuse services to gay and lesbian customers.

“Governor Brewer hasn’t yet made a decision,” a Brewer spokesperson said in an email to Business Insider Tuesday. ”The Senate transmitted its bill to our office yesterday while the Governor was in DC. When she returns, she will take the time necessary to thoroughly review and evaluate the legislation before taking action.”

One person close to the governor told NBC that Brewer does not “want to take any actions that could jeopardize the economic momentum” in Arizona. The report also cited longtime Brewer political adviser Chuck Coughlin. Several businesses, including Marriott and Apple, have reached out to Brewer in recent days and urged her to veto the bill.

In recent days, amid a media firestorm over the bill, numerous voices in and outside Arizona had urged Brewer to veto the bill — including both of Arizona’s Republican senators, John McCain and Jeff Flake. Three Republican state lawmakers who voted for the bill last week also sent a letter to Brewer urging her to veto the bill to prevent potential boycotts.

Brewer has until Friday to sign the bill into law or veto it. She also has the option to do nothing, in which case the bill would still become law. In Washington on Monday for National Governors Association meetings, Brewer told CNN only that she would “do the right thing for Arizona.”

Congressional Budget Office: $10.10 minimum wage would lower employment by 500k, raise incomes for 16.5 million

Fast-Food Workers StrikeTHE WASHINGTON EXAMINER  – Raising the minimum wage to $ 10.10 by 2016 would increase wages for 16.5 million workers but lead to a loss of about 500,000 jobs, according to an estimate from the Congressional Budget Office released Tuesday afternoon.

The range of potential job losses projected by the CBO was from a “slight decrease” in employment to as many as 1 million.

The CBO examined the effects of a minimum wage hike similar to that advocated by congressional Democrats and the Obama administration, one that would raise the legal minimum hourly wage and index that rate to inflation so its value would not erode over time.

Elizabeth Warren Has A Radical Plan To Remake The Post Office

Elizabeth Warren

AP

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren wants to solve two American problems with one solution — turn the country’s increasingly empty post offices into simple retail banks for low-income citizens without bank accounts.

In an op-ed in the Huffington Post, Warren writes that “about 68 million Americans — more than a quarter of all households — are underserved by the banking system. Collectively, these households spent about $ 89 billion in 2012 on interest and fees for non-bank financial services like payday loans and check cashing, which works out to an average of $ 2,412 per household.”

That means poor Americans spend roughly 10% of their income on basic banking services, according to a recent report from the Office of the Inspector General.

Meanwhile, we’ve got an entire infrastructure of post offices and postal employees who are seeing the number of letters and packages they deliver dwindle more and more by the day.

The services Warren and the OIG are suggesting aren’t complex — just check cashing, small international money transfers, small loans, reloadable prepaid cards, and bill paying. The OIG insists that the USPS wouldn’t become a bank. In fact, it insists that these services would merely use the USPS’s ubiquitous network to complement what banks do and go where banks can’t go.

Other countries have already done this, and the OIG says that if even 10% of what underserved Americans pay on interest and fees went to the USPS it would generate $ 8.9 billion in new revenue per year.

Hey, if it works …

Texas ‘honor killer’ Yaser Said could be hiding in plain sight as NYC cabbie PI Bill Warner Says as FBI New York City Field Office To Assist In Search.

FOX NEWS…The Egyptian-born cab driver suspected in the 2008 “honor killing” of his two daughters in Texas because they were dating non-Muslim boys may be working at his old trade in New York, according to a private investigator who has tracked him. Yaser Said fled his Dallas-area home after allegedly shooting daughters Amina, 18, and Sarah Said, 17, on New Year’s Day in 2008 and is now on the FBI’s list of most-wanted fugitives. Although he took his Egyptian passport and $ 9,000 when he bolted, Bill Warner, a private detective who has worked for Said’s sister-in-law, believes he never made it out of the country. With family ties to New York and a large community of his countrymen to blend into, Warner says the odds are good the suspected killer is behind the wheel of a car for hire in the Big Apple.  “It’s all he knows and I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if he’s there working as a taxi driver,” Bill Warner, who has worked on and off tracking Said, told FoxNews.com. “He could blend in at a metropolis like New York.”

New Georgia President Takes Office

MOSCOW — Giorgi Margvelashvili, a former university rector and minister of education, was inaugurated on Sunday as the president of Georgia, promising to continue the country’s efforts to integrate with Europe while pursuing better relations with Russia, a delicate balance that has generally eluded the former Soviet republics.

“By ensuring a precedent of transfer of power through parliamentary and presidential elections, we succeeded in moving to a substantially new stage in the development of our state,” Mr. Margvelashvili, 44, said in his inaugural address after a swearing-in ceremony in the courtyard of the old Parliament building in Tbilisi, the capital.

“The post-Soviet period is over,” Mr. Margvelashvili declared. “And the development of a modern type of democracy has started, laying the foundation for a new, European kind of political culture.”

Mr. Margvelashvili was the handpicked candidate of Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, a billionaire whose party, Georgia Dream, swept to power in parliamentary elections in October 2012. Mr. Ivanishvili has announced plans to resign this month after only a year in office and has proposed that the interior minister, Irakli Gharibashvili, 31, be his successor.

Mr. Ivanishvili has made clear that he intends to continue to influence Georgian public affairs heavily once he leaves government. Constitutional amendments, which came into force with Mr. Margvelashvili’s inauguration, strengthen the authority of the prime minister, making it the country’s most powerful political office.

The departing president, Mikheil Saakashvili, did not attend the inauguration, citing the arrests and prosecutions of many former members of his government on various charges of corruption and abuse of power, many of which appear to be politically motivated. Mr. Ivanishvili and other officials in Georgian Dream have raised the possibility that Mr. Saakashvili himself could face arrest and prosecution.

More than 50 countries sent delegations to the inauguration, which was held outdoors under a sparkling autumn sun.

In his inaugural address, Mr. Margvelashvili said that Georgia would press ahead with plans to give preliminary approval to new political and free-trade agreements with the European Union at a conference in Vilnius, Lithuania, this month. Russia has been maneuvering aggressively to dissuade former Soviet republics, including Ukraine and Moldova, from moving ahead with those agreements.

Russia, however, has considerably less sway over Georgia given the lingering bitterness over a brief war between the two countries in 2008 and continuing territorial disputes over Abkhazia and South Ossetia, regions claimed by Georgia but whose independence is supported by Russia. Adding to the strains, Georgia has said it also hopes to join NATO.

“Drawing closer to the European Union and furthering bilateral relations with European countries hold a special place in Georgia’s foreign policy,” Mr. Margvelashvili said in his speech. “In a few days, the Association Agreement will be initialed at the Vilnius Summit.”

“Becoming a full member of the free world serves as a long-term guarantee of Georgia’s national security and sustainable development,” he added. “This, in turn, can be ultimately achieved by means of integration into the European Union and NATO.”

Mr. Margvelashvili acknowledged the tensions with Russia but expressed optimism. “Despite the difficult situation we are facing today, and in parallel with integrating into European and Euro-Atlantic structures,” he said, “we reiterate our commitment to further dialogue with Russia and build confidence to solve the problems existing today.”

“This dialogue will be built upon unequivocal respect for Georgia’s national interests,” he added, “respect for our internationally recognized borders and the principles of territorial integrity and sovereignty.”

Berlusconi slapped with two-year ban from public office

A Milan appeals court on Saturday ruled that Silvio Berlusconi, the former Italian prime minister with a lifetime of court battles under his belt, should be barred from holding political office for two years following a conviction for tax fraud.

The court was ordered by the Italian Supreme Court to determine the length of the political ban in connection with the media mogul’s tax fraud conviction and four-year jail term, after prosecutors conceded mistakes in the original five-year ban.

Berlusconi, 77, is already facing the loss of his Senate seat after losing his final appeal in the tax fraud case this summer, under a 2012 law stipulating that anyone convicted to more than two years in prison is forbidden from participating in politics for six years.

Following a decision by the Senate to vote whether to strip Berlusconi of this Senate seat following his tax fraud conviction, the leader of Forza Italia earlier this month made a desperate bid to bring down the government by threatening to yank his five Cabinet ministers out of government.

But in a rare swipe at Berlusconi’s authority, supporters aligned themselves with the forces of “stability” instead, voting to support the government of Premier Enrico Letta.

The flamboyant Italian politician and billionaire tycoon has grabbed headlines in the past not only for his brash political and business style, but for the adventures of his private life as well.

In June, an Italian court declared Berlusconi guilty both of paying for sex with an underage prostitute – a girl of Moroccan decent nicknamed Ruby Heartstealer – and abusing his office to cover up the relationship.

Berlusconi, who went far at introducing the term “bunga bunga” into the modern vernacular, was sentenced to seven years for his indiscretion. Yet it is highly unlikely the media mogul and political powerhouse will be forced to trade in his playboy lifestyle for the rigid routine of prison life due to an Italian appeals process that promises to provide sensational fodder for Italian newspapers for many years to come.
