How Justin Bieber’s fortunes have fallen at the box office. The performer’s second concert documentary, “Believe,” is turning in a dismal performance at the Christmas box office, where it has earned only $3.1 million in its first three days. On Friday, it fell below $1 million to $790,000 for a 14th place finish. Believe is now only expected to take in $4.5 million over the course of its five-day debut, including a meek weekend haul of $2.2 million. Granted, the movie is said to have cost only $5 million to make, but Believe will do only a fraction of the business that Bieber’s Never Say Never enjoyed in February 2011.

(CNN) — A little girl whose Christmas wish inspired thousands of people to sing in the streets died overnight.

Laney Brown, 8, suffered from leukemia.

“Our little angel on earth earned her pink glittery angel wings in heaven,” a post on an official Facebook page about her said. “She took her last breath at home in her bed at 3:10 surrounded by all her family and friends. I miss her so much already.”

Delaney Brown of West Reading, Pennsylvania, “inspired a community and touched hearts across the world,” as CNN affiliate WFMZ put it.

She loved music and dancing.

Her dying wishes were to meet country music superstar Taylor Swift and for some people to come by her house for a night of caroling.

10,000 carolers respond to girl’s wish

On Friday — her birthday — Laney and Swift video-chatted through FaceTime, a software application that allows callers to see each other on Apple products.

Then, Saturday night, the singers came. At first it was hundreds of people, then thousands. Then it was about 10,000, CNN affiliate WFMZ reported.

She was too weak to go to the window, but heard the wonderful music.

“I can hear you now!!! Love you!” she said in a Facebook post that showed a photo of her lying in bed with a breathing mask — and two thumbs up.

Laney was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia seven months ago. Last week doctors told her family that she had 70% cancer cells in her blood. She came home from the hospital Thursday.

The Christmas carol celebration outside her home attracted people from all over. Her dance team was there to honor her. Even Santa showed up.

Many of the singers held back tears.

“I can’t even express how I feel,” Krysta Rebe, who has a daughter Laney’s age, told WFMZ.

It was only an hour of singing, but it lifted the spirits of everyone who jammed the block.

“As much as I want that miracle to be saving the life of an 8-year-old little girl, Laney, the miracle was an 8-year-old little girl teaching an entire community, town, city and the whole country the true meaning of Christmas,” one participant, Marianne Franken, wrote on Facebook.”

On Wednesday, thousands of people liked and commented on the Facebook post announcing the little girl’s death.

“I do not cry for Laney, who lives on in peace and happiness with our Lord,” wrote Cornell Stornbergh. “I mourn for us, who now have to live in a world without her.”

From the establishment’s erosion of the very word ‘Christmas’, to the mass wave of censorship that is now suffocating free speech across the web surrounding the slightest mention of Christmas-related material — there is a complete attack on our fundamental right to even say that today is Christmas. And that’s why, amid all of this censorship and hysteria from the dinosaur establishment, it is amazing to see Google’s homepage proudly display a Christmas tree to hundreds of millions worldwide.

A move that, despite being completely devoid of any controversy to a logical mind when considering that is is in fact Christmas, has no doubt enraged those within the establishment who seek to abolish the very existence of the holiday.

This is also a move by Google that comes on the same day that a prominent VA hospital refused to accept Christmas cards for patients that contained the ‘controversial’ words reading ‘merry Christmas’. The same day that so-called ‘atheists’ (many atheists do not worship the establishment’s politically correct agenda) vulgarly attacked Christians and the very existence of nativity scenes. But above all else, this is the day that an Infowars report that utilized a clip from the iconic It’s A Wonderful Life film was censored by a third party using false copyright claims over the classic film that has been posted in tens of thousands of videos without issue.

And the list goes on. The reality is clear: the establishment is doing its very best to squash any mention of Christmas, let alone the mention of Jesus Christ. Only in an Orwellian society do we deny that a certain day of the year even exists as to not ‘offend’ anyone.

Every vow we make in honor of those empty chairs around our holiday tables will require a political action: to wage peace, to fight for sensible gun laws and policies that address the root causes of violence for which guns are the accelerators, to expand healthcare for all in the Affordable Care Act, to break down the institutionalized misogyny, racism, xenophobia, and homophobia in our laws, and to fight income inequality by investing in jobs, comprehensive immigration reform, and preserving the American Safety Net from food stamps to unemployment insurance to veterans benefits to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

That is why all I want for Christmas are my voting rights from which all other rights flow. Without voting rights, our struggle for women’s rights, civil rights, LGBT rights, immigrants’ rights and workers’ rights is just a conversation. We know that a handful of voter fraud cases have been used to silence millions of voices http://blogs.houstonpress.com/hairballs/2013/12/voter_fraud_is_a_pernicious_pa.php and we must change that.

As we celebrate various Christmas, Hannukah, Solstice, and Kwanzaa celebrations, let us remember those empty chairs around our own holiday tables and help ensure that all American adults can partake in the civic sacrament of voting.

Therefore, during this holiday season, in addition to passing along seasons greetings, please urge your Member of Congress to act on these vital issues http://www.civilrights.org/action_center/ and to support the bipartisan renewal of the Voting Rights Act. Amazon Refunds Shipping as UPS Misses Some Christmas Deliveries

Amazon.com Inc., the largest online retailer, offered $ 20 gift cards and refunds on shipping charges after United Parcel Service Inc. said overwhelming volume left it unable to deliver some packages by Christmas.

Amazon cited failures in UPS’s transportation network in messages to customers, saying its own fulfillment centers processed customers’ orders in time for holiday delivery.

“We are reviewing the performance of the delivery carriers,” Mary Osako, an Amazon spokeswoman, said in an e- mail.

UPS, the world’s largest package-delivery company, said in a service update on its website that the volume of air packages exceeded its capacity immediately preceding Christmas.

“UPS is not making pickups or deliveries on Christmas Day and will resume normally scheduled service on December 26,” it said in the update.

U.S. online holiday retail sales were projected to climb 15 percent to a record of more than $ 78 billion by Forrester Research Inc. in a report published last month.

UPS expected to ship more than 132 million parcels globally during the week before Christmas, according to the cover story for subscribers to Bloomberg Businessweek in its Dec. 23 issue.

Spokesman David Tovar of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Jen Johnson of Kohl’s Corp. didn’t immediately respond to e-mails seeking comment on the Christmas holiday. Johnna Hoff of EBay Inc., Kathleen Waugh of Toys “R” Us Inc. and Laura Jones of Zulily Inc. didn’t immediately respond to e-mails and calls seeking comment. An e-mail to UPS’s public-relations department and a call to Natalie Black, a spokeswoman, weren’t immediately returned.

UPS, FedEx

UPS has long dominated the holiday shipping business in the U.S. because of its fleet of 101,000 signature brown trucks, vans, tractor trailers and motorcycles, according to Bloomberg Businessweek. Its rival, Memphis, Tennessee-based FedEx Corp., has more jets though its ground-delivery fleet is less than one- third the size, at about 32,000 vehicles.

In October, UPS and FedEx announced their holiday shipping forecasts. FedEx said it would carry more than 85 million shipments in the first week of December. UPS predicted it would deliver 129 million packages that week, and would see a second holiday rush during the week before Christmas.

UPS added 55,000 part-time holiday workers, leased 23 extra planes and effectively built a second trucking fleet to handle the seasonal package flow, according to the cover story.

In an article picked up from AccuWeather.com, LiveScience rounds up 10 wacky Christmas traditions you may want to adopt—and some you probably don’t.

• On the eve of St. Nicholas’ Day, Austria celebrates St. Nick’s evil counterpart, Krampus, who punishes bad children. There’s a parade, and people dress as devils, witches, and other ominous creatures for this, um, festive occasion.

• Canadian children who write to Santa in any language are assured of a response thanks to Canada Post volunteers. Just drop a letter in the mail—no postage needed—and include your return address for a note back from Santa.


• On Christmas Eve in Norway, families hide all their brooms around the house. It’s all part of an old superstition that evil spirits come out and steal brooms to ride around on at night.


• In Galve, Sweden, a three-ton straw goat is erected in the town square where it stays from Advent Sunday until after New Year’s Eve—”unless,” as LiveScience notes, “it gets burned down, which has happened on multiple occasions.”


• You may know of Britain’s Christmas pudding tradition, but did you know that each person to stir the batter must make a wish? In some cases, the baker even drops a coin in the batter, and the one to find it is considered “lucky” … even if they do chip a tooth.

Hold Nickar and friends ate psychedelic mushrooms that flourished under Pine trees 

to enter the Christ Consciousness. That’s how he became Saint Nickar, 

or Saint Nicholas as we now know him !

The traditional aspects of the Christmas tree of today come mainly from Germanic and Scandinavian origins. Christmas as we’ve come to know it is like other Christian festivals, a mixture of traditions brought together from a variety of backgrounds to satisfy all under Rome !

Those various traditions each had their own enlightenment rituals which became symbolized. Over time we’ve forgotten the meaning of the symbols, but like most other hidden knowledge it is right under our noses.

In Finland, the Shamans, and one in particular called Hold Nickar, are known to have worn red suits with white spots to pick the sacred Amanita Muscaria or Fly Agaric mushrooms, which are themselves red with white spots. On returning home from picking, on reindeer sleighs, they had their mushrooms in a sack, and re entered their lodges through the smoke hole in the roof ! Hold Nickar and friends ate those mushrooms to enter the Christ Consciousness, that’s how he became Saint Nickar, or Saint Nicholas as we now know him !

The reindeer also ate the mushrooms, which is why they are characterized as flying, although this ties in with other older legends of gods flying the skies at night once a year giving gifts to the worthy.

In German and Norse traditions, it was normal to hang the dried Amanitas on the Christmas tree for decoration; but there is another relationship between the Amanita and the Christmas tree in that the Amanita’s mycelium (roots) can only grow in the root zone of certain trees; just about anything you could call a Christmas tree is suitable although Birch are also good. That is why we have a decorated Pine or some such tree at Christmas. One of the earliest natural decorations used were dried Amanitas !

One other thing about Pines is the pine cone which represents the Pineal gland which is situated centrally in the brain, and looks just like a little pine cone. It is the activation by the Amanita of the pineal gland, that opens the internal inter-dimensional stargate that allows us to travel as consciousness to other very real dimensions, resulting in what could be considered the enlightenment of the Shaman !

You can often see the Pope dressed in white with a red cape to represent the Amanita Muscaria, or sometimes in all white with a little white cap, to represent the Psilocybin or Liberty Cap magic mushroom. A lot of traditions use entheogens ( teacher drugs) to enter an enlightened state, Christianity is based on entheogen use amongst other enlightenment practices. There is an enormous pine cone on a plinth at the Vatican to represent the pineal gland; Roman  Catholicism is in part a mushroom cult that hasn’t bothered to tell its members !

When in times gone by a man with flying reindeer, and dressed in red suit with white spots (buttons) entered your lodge, through the smoke hole in the roof, to bring a present from his sack, he was bringing the gift of enlightenment by activation of the pineal gland, which is represented by adding pine cones to the tree’s decorations to symbolize that gland, which then hang on the tree alongside the dried mushroom that activates it. The Star on top of the tree represents enlightenment itself !
