Michelle Obama Supports Campaign to Ban ‘Sexist’ Words

Language Police: FLOTUS channels Orwell’s 1984

Taking a page out of George Orwell’s 1984 - where words were banned by a totalitarian state to limit thought – Michelle Obama has thrown her weight behind a campaign to ban the word “bossy”.

FLOTUS tweeted her support for the campaign, which is receiving national media attention having been backed by celebrities such as Beyonce. Apparently, Beyonce (as well as Sony Entertainment which also supports the campaign) isn’t too concerned about the fact that her husband – and the Obama’s close personal friend Jay-Z - routinely refers to women as “bitches” and all kinds of other vulgarities in his songs.

Critics immediately shot back at Obama for lending her support to such a chilling notion, making comparisons to Orwell’s infamous ‘Ingsoc’.

“Girls are less interested in leadership than boys and that’s because they worried about being called bossy,” claims the campaign video. The solution is to ban the word altogether by encouraging parents, employers and teachers to strip it from their vocabulary and re-educate any poor unsuspecting bigot who dares utter it in public.

Illustrating once more how feminism is a top-down tool of cultural marxism – where language and culture takes the blame for all oppression thereby absolving the state, which is the true source of oppression – the campaign is the work of LeanIn.org, which itself is supported by a plethora of big banks, transnational corporations and PR firms.

Second wave feminism does little or nothing to advance genuine women’s right concerns – such as the recent designation of female drivers as potential terrorists in Saudi Arabia – and everything to hide behind the veil of equality as a justification for trampling on everyone’s free speech rights.

Given that literature is replete with examples of sexist, patriarchal and outdated language, forget just banning words, why don’t we start burning books? It’s for the children!

Mainstream feminism’s disdain for free speech is setting the stage for Hillary Clinton’s tilt at the presidency in 2016, which is why top Democratic Party operates like Debbie Wasserman Schultz are also backing these kind of PR campaigns.

Just as critics of Obama were labeled racists for questioning his policies, Hillary’s detractors will be smeared with the “sexist” tag when they dare to speak out.

The ‘ban bossy’ campaign video, featured below, is fast being overtaken by negative comments as the whole farce is rightly condemned for what it is – an onerous attempt to set a dangerous precedent of banning words and restricting free speech in order to fix non-issues contrived by cultural marxists.

Then again, I may just be a sexist thought criminal who needs to be re-educated and have his vocabulary forcibly reduced by means of a full frontal lobotomy – after all, it’s trendy and liberal!

The world at war: The mind, journalism, freedoms... Valued ‘Ally’ Saudi Arabia Supports Terrorism, Urges US War in Syria

Saudi Arabia, the brutal authoritarian theocracy that the democracy-promoting Washington claims as one of its closest allies, has a bit of a history of pressuring the U.S. into Middle East wars. The 1991 First Gulf War to oust Saddam Hussein from Kuwait was fought largely in defense of Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom also encouraged the Bush administration to invade Iraq in 2003. And the Saudi king has repeatedly urged Washington to attack Iran to secure Saudi interests in the Sunni-Shia regional divide.

Saudi Arabia also has a rather incriminating and duplicitous history of harboring Islamic extremists of the al-Qaeda, jihadist type. They helped the U.S. fund the mujahideen in Afghanistan. Most of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudis (and they were directed by a Saudi, named Osama bin Laden). There is even a classified record that members of Congress have claimed indicates the Saudi government’s role in the 9/11 attacks.

Since the start of Syria’s civil war, foreign jihadists have been flooding the country – many of them coming from Saudi Arabia. Al Monitor reports:

Estimates of the number of Saudis fighting in Syria range as high as 2,500. Some are hardened veterans of earlier jihads in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Iraq. A few are compatriots of Osama bin Laden. Others traveled to Syria from the kingdom, despite individual travel bans imposed for dissident activities at home. Some traveled directly through major Saudi airports, leading many observers to conclude they were encouraged by the authorities to leave the kingdom and go fight Assad. For over two years, the Saudi government seemed to turn a blind eye to travel by its citizens — even political dissidents — to Syria.

Kuwait, which has close ties to the Saudi government, “is a major source of private funding for Jabhat al-Nusra, al-Qaeda’s official arm in Syria,” Al Monitor reports.

Interesting enough, but that is not the big piece of news from this Al Monitor report. The big news is this: “King Abdullah will make a major push for a more vigorous American effort to oust Assad when he hosts Obama [late next month]. The Saudis have been openly disappointed that Obama has not used force to get rid of Assad or provided more assistance to training and arming the Syrian opposition.” Now, the report says, the Saudis are trying to persuade Obama to impose regime change in Syria by promising to cut back on its support for jihadists.

To sum up, Saudi Arabia’s policy on Syria amounts to funding groups considered by Washington to be terrorists and to lobbying the President of the United States to destroy the Damascus government. The two initiatives are deeply intertwined given that a collapse of the regime in Syria would mean chaos and huge ungoverned spaces, which foreign funded jihadists could thrive in.

I’ve been hammering away on the issue of entangling alliance for months now, but where is the outrage on Saudi Arabia? The U.S. government continues to help prop up and arm the Saudi government and yet it supports terrorism and is trying to suck the U.S. into another dangerous and endless military quagmire in the Middle East. Where are the belligerent members of Congress, the Peter Kings and Charles Schumers, condemning Saudi Arabia? They condemn other countries for much less.

The world at war: The mind, journalism, freedoms... Israel Supports Al Qaeda Rebels: Syria Opposition Terrorists Treated in Israeli Hospital

The Israeli occupation army established a field hospital on the Golan Heights to treat the Syrian injured militants who belong to the terrorist groups in Syria.

These groups have treated over 700 of their injured militants in that hospitals, according to Israeli media outlets.

The Zionist army prevented the media outlets from broadcasting the activities of the field hospital yet allowed the Second Channel to prepare a report about it in order to promote the “humane Israeli step towards the Syrians.”

The report mainly focused on the Israeli intentions behind treating the militants, clarifying that the Israelis aim was to strengthen and deepen their relations with the terrorist groups in Syria in order to keep the calm and stability which now prevails between these groups and Israel at Palestinian-Syrian borders.

The report also included interviews with a number of the militants who stated that “Zionism is not macabre as it has been portrayed by the Syrian regime.”

“The regime used to force us to believe that our enemy is all the surrounding world, yet after the beginning of the revolution, we recognized our real friends and  real enemies.”

With Launch Of 3.0, Adobe Social Supports Instagram, LinkedIn, And More, Plus Predictive Capabilities

Adobe says version 3.0 of Adobe Social, its set of tools for social marketing, is going live right now.

When I met with Bill Ingram, vice president of product management for digital marketing, and Emi Hofmeister, senior manager of product marketing, they said Adobe Social is part of a larger effort to revamp Adobe’s marketing products. Last year, they conducted surveys about how the company was doing, and they discovered, as paraphrased by Ingram, that “we’re kind of hard to do business with.”

One reason: With 26 different products (and that’s just on the marketing side), it was hard to know what to buy. So Adobe consolidated the line down to five core products — Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Media Optimizer, and yes, Adobe Social, which launched last fall. (If less than a year doesn’t seem like enough time to reach version 3.0, that’s because the version that came out last fall was technically considered Adobe Social 2.0. Because reasons.)

As for what’s actually new, Adobe Social now includes support for Flickr, Foursquare, Instagram, and LinkedIn. (That’s on top of previous support for Facebook, Google+, Reddit, Tumblr, and Twitter.) The new integrations include full access to Foursquare’s firehouse of data and the ability to both publish to and analyze from LinkedIn Pages and Groups.

In addition, the predictive publishing capabilities that were announced back in April have gone live, giving publishers tips about what kind of social media content they should publish and when so that they can improve their engagement. And it uses the new interface for the Adobe Marketing Cloud, which makes it easy for different teams to collaborate across Adobe’s various marketing products.

To illustrate the new experience, Hofmeister took me through an example. As a hypothetical online publisher, she spotted a trending topic, formulated a post on that topic linking to a relevant article, looked at the full calendar of scheduled posts, scheduled the post for an empty slot, got a recommendation for a better time to publish, then scheduled her post.

Thanks to new “parent-child” authoring capabilities, she was able to just write one post and push it to all social networks, customizing as necessary. And then, of course, she could track whether that post was to driving the results that she was interested in and use that data to do better next time.
